| WEATHER |
Draped over the equator, Indonesia tends to have a fairly uniform climate - hot. It's hot and wet during the wet season (October to April) and hot and dry during the dry season (May to September). Temperatures climb to about 31°C (88°F) in coastal regions, dropping (but not by much) further inland. The best time to visit Indonesia in the south is from April to October. Northern islands tend to be wet all year round. |

| EATING |
Indonesia is well known for its cuisine. Especially the rice table, or rijsttafel that was actually an invention of the Dutch in colonial times. It consists of a variety of dishes, a bit like a buffet. Also well-known known are fried rice (nasi goreng), satay (or sateh in bahasa Indonesia) and some of the Indonesian soups (soto). But of course there is lot more to the Indonesian cuisine. Different regions in Indonesia offer different dishes. The Minangkabau region for instance, in West Sumatra, is well-known all over the world for it's Padang style food (Padang is the capital city of West Sumatra). Padang style food is fairly spicy. We will have a sampling of the best of Indonesian cuisine and dine at some of the most popular restaurants in Bali.
