The Komodo dragon is the world's largest lizard species. It is found mainly on the Indonesian islands of Komodo, Rintja, Padar, and Flores. There are only an estimated 1,000 to 5,000 of these monitor lizards living today. Reaching lengths of up to 3 m or more, and weighing up to 126 kg, these reptiles are swift runners and climbers with great appetites for deer and wild boar.

Bali - Denpasar, Bali - Labuhan Bajo - Komodo Island
Leave large suitcases at the Conrad Hotel where you will return and take a small overnight bag to Komodo Island. Transfer to the airport. Depart from Bali by Merpati airlines for Labuan Bajo in West Flores island. Upon arrival transfer to Labuan Bajo harbor to connect with a boat to cross to Komodo island. Lunch will be provided. After boating for approximately 4 hours, in the early evening arrive at Komodo Island. Dinner and overnight at Puri Komodo Resort. (B,L,D)

Komodo Island - Labuhan Bajo
Early breakfast at Ranger's Lodge. Start your trek by walking through the typical dry forest to find the Komodo dragon. You can sometimes see wild horses, wild buffalo, deer (rusa) and wild pig as well. Keeping watch overhead as well you may find the young Komodo dragons in the trees. A local ranger will lead you through this nature preserve. After exploring the land and its wildlife, return to the boat and proceed to Pantai Merah (Pink Beach) for time to swim and snorkel in unspoiled coral and reef, home to colorful tropical fish. A lunch box provided on board. After lunch return to Labuan Bajo harbor and the hotel in Labuan Bajo for dinner and overnight at Puri Komodo Resort. (B,L,D)

After breakfast, enjoy a short sightseeing tour of Batu Cermin before flying back to Bali. On your arrival we will pick you up and transfer to the Conrad Hotel in Bali for overnight. (B)
