Explored by humans only since 1820, this frozen expanse boasts spectacular mintain scenery ans millions of animals living in vast colonies.
A unique voyage with a team of naturalists who are passionate about their subject.
Outing in zodiacs to see extraordinary wildlife at close range against backdrop of majestic glaciers and tabular icebergs.

The following itinerary begins and ends in Ushuaia, Argentina. Because of flight schedules, you may need overnight accommodations in Buenos Aires and/or Ushuaia. Coda Tours will be happy to make those reservations for you as well as transfers and flight bookings between Buenos Aires and Ushuaia.

Day 1 — Ushuaia (Argentina)
Regarded as the world's southern-most city, Ushuaia is the capital of Tierra del Fuego in the extreme South of Argentina at the end of Beagle Bay. This amazing little town of over 45,000 people is surrounded by mountains and fertile plains. The first inhabitants here were nomadic hunters and gatherers who arrived on foot to the Isla Grande over 10,000 years ago. Nature lovers will be bowled over by the Tierra del Fuego National Park and its amazing wealth of flora and fauna: beavers, albatrosses, guanacos, penguins... Here forests cover the slopes of the Andes mountains then give way to snow-capped peaks… a truly unique and unforgettable landscape.
Day 2 — At sea – Drake Passage
To reach the mythical White Continent you will cross the notorious Drake Passage named after the famous explorer, Sir Frances Drake, who sailed in these waters way back in 1578. You will then traverse the Polar Front which marks the area where waters from the Atlantic, Pacific and Indian Oceans meet.
day 3 — At sea — Drake Passage
Day 4 —Neko/Paradise Bay/Lemaire Channel (Antarctica)
The magic continues when you arrive in Neko Bay: mountains, snow, ice and nature in the wild combine to create a unique landscape in a muffled atmosphere, broken only by the haunting cries of Cape petrels and cormorants. Even further south in the heart of this glacial universe the high cliffs of Booth Island and Cape Renard mark the entrance to the Lemaire Channel, a paradise renowned throughout the world for its spectacular beauty.
Day 5 — Pleneau Island/Port Lockroy (Antarctica)
Day 6 -- Cuverville/Gerlache Strait (Antarctica)
Day 7 — DECEPTION ISLAND (ANTARCTICA)
At Deception Island you will marvel at one of the largest colonies of Chinstrap penguins.
Day 8 — Cruising in the Weddell Sea Brown Bluff (Antarctica)
Our call at Brown Bluff on the Antarctic continent brings you to the foot of an imposing cliff where you will find a colony of 20,000 Adelie penguin couples.
Day 9 — At sea, Drake Passage (Antarctica)
Day 10 — At sea, Drake Passage (Antarctica) / Ushuaia
Day 11 — Ushuaia (argentina)
Disembarkation. Fly to Buenos Aires and connect with flight to the USA, arriving the next morning.

LE BORÉAL and L'AUSTRAL — Two 132 stateroom / suite "sister ships"

A sleek silhouette softened by elegantly smooth contours and large, arched windows opening up to the sea and the light: so many features come together to give Le Boréal and L'Austral their distinctive shape.

Built in the style of superb mega-yachts, these two 132 - stateroom/suite "sister-ships" remain faithful to our philosophy: to offer small capacity ships providing a unique and subtle blend of luxury, intimacy and well-being. Precious materials, discreet elegance and a perfect balance between chic and casual, combine to make you feel as if you are on your own private yacht.

Smooth and quiet to provide maximum comfort, Le Boréal and L'Austral have also earned the international "green ship" label for their numerous eco-friendly features (dynamic positioning system to avoid having to drop anchor, waste water treatment on board, reduced fuel consumption, etc).

  • Given the inaccessiblity of the White Continent, we recommend you choose your insurance company carefully. Evacuation cost from the Antarctic Peninsula are up to 100.000 US$ plus medical costs. Therefore please be particularly prudent when choosing an insurance company, especially if you are insured by your credit card. This questionnaire is very important in order to respect mandatory safety rules in polar zones. Any false information on this questionnaire may lead to a refusal of your embarkation at the port of departure, without any possible recourse.
