Dalmatia, Croatia’s fabled coast and islands, was coveted by Roman emperors, Venetian doges, and Ottoman caliphs. Even if you have traveled widely across Europe, Dalmatia’s unique blend of Mediterranean languor, medieval tradition, and artistic accomplishment is unique and affords nothing but pure enchantment. Explore not only the justly celebrated cities of Dubrovnik and Venice, but also extraordinary places like Mostar, its splendid 15th- and 16th-century quarters (and soaring Stari Most bridge) once again as vibrant as ever, and the town of Kotor in Montenegro, accessed through a long fjord-like waterway, and bearing fine monuments dating from its years under Venetian rule. Check out Hvar, the jet-setters preferred destination complete with the beautiful people as well as charming villages and fragrant lavender fields. We are offering hotel stays both pre- and post- cruise in Dubrovnik and Venice respectively to make this an extra special holiday in 2008.
